Sweet it’s December 1st and you get back to the gym.  Whew!  “I only gained 6 lbs”.  You pick up right where you left off in early August. (You managed to train a week before you went on vacation).  You go all out.  You lift some serious weights, run a mile or two then perform some serious ab crunches to rid those 6 lbs. of excess belly fat.  Next morning comes and you are so sore that you can barely get out of bed.  The following morning you are even sorer, so you call off work, eat, take a hot bath, eat again, take a few tylenol, then go back to bed.  That coming weekend you have forgotten that your wife has her work Christmas party, you then determine that there is no need to exercise because you are going to “eat like a pig”.  You go to ten different CHRISTMAS parties, “eat like a pig” and vow to make training and getting in shape your New Years resolution.  (173 lbs.)

New Years Day arrives, you “eat and drink like a pig”, football, beer, pizza, pretzels, sweets, chips, more beer.  Starting January 8 you make it to the gym for a whole week (you had to shovel snow every day), a full seven days after your alleged starting date.  Once again you feel like a slug and have no idea how you’re going to stay consistent with any type of training program.  (175 lbs.) to be continued…
